There are many parts of parenthood that surprise you. Actually it would be more accurate to say that there are few that don’t shock you initially. However when my 7 year old daughter begged to jump off the roof some more, I knew for certain I’d officially heard it all.

We haven’t had this sort of snowfall in 15 years! Another 14 inches are expected in the next 4 days and I’m sick to death of the white stuff but the kiddos have at least found a way to make the best of it. They were originally supposed to be helping shovel it off, but when they realized there was a safe spot to jump off into a huge mound of powdery snow, I lost my little helpers.
