Whistler.

Dear Whistler,

I ventured out today at 3:30… much to my dismay. I am emotionally exhausted, and stick close to home these days. However my dearest friend has a baby that’s constipated, and I happen to have a wealth of purple & golden plums.

So, on a mission, I went to deliver relief.

I pulled into the 4-way stop and you whistled at me. I looked up in shock and you pointed at me and smiled.

Bless your soul… you saved my spirit today.

Awwww the whistlers…

Bless their naughty souls.

I’m just a little black rain cloud.

My relationship is imploding, the garden is full of weeds and I have nothing positive to say.

Nothing like a little black rain cloud, huh?

I realize this and decide to count my blessings, instead of being a jerk.

1. I have more tomatoes than any canning junkie could ever hope for. Seriously. I could can for 3 days and live on salsa & marinara… my tomato cup runneth over and over and over.

2. I love to knit… and it saves my soul. Nothing is more necessary lately. That and the mermaid costume I’ve decided to knit for Isabelle is saving my soul… piece by piece.

3. There’s an end in sight. November 1st is only weeks away. Please pray for peace in our home, if you are so inclined. Also please pray he takes me seriously and finds somewhere to move into by then. I’m willing to bribe any of you with jam & veggies. I’m desperate at this point.

Sigh. Nothing like counting your eggs before they’re hatched, huh?

We seriously cannot get along for 5 minutes and I’m chewing my leg off to get away from him…

Lunch anyone?

Lol :) Oh so tempting, lol :)

Once upon a perfect child.

I know, I know… I shouldn’t refer to her as perfect…

But she is perfectly, wonderfully fantastic to me.

I spent today with my daughter at Silverwood, our local amusement park.

Her first ride… she was soooooooo terrified. The log ride is awfully tame… so she was reassured. In fact it was her favorite.

i7She was insanely cute… and so funny. I told her I was laughing so hard when I took her on the first roller coaster (of her life) that I couldn’t even blink and she said “BLINK? BLINK? I didn’t dare blink, I could be seeing the last minutes of my LIFE” lol… she cracks me up. She went on two scaaaaaaary roller coasters…

i6and we topped off our day with a fantastic ride (two actually) on the carousel. love her… ♥ her so much :)

Hooray for little girls.

Such an easy to please-wonderfully sweet and generous child. I am so lucky with the children I’ve been blessed with. I am so thankful for them and so happy to have a day with one of them alone. Now to figure out a day with my fantastic teenage son…who just so happens will go on ALL the scary rides with me…Wish me luck…

I want the guy from Proverbs 31.

Forgive me… I didn’t grow up in a Christian family. I only know what I’ve found since becoming an adult (and trust me, when you miss the bible stories you miss a lot.)

But seriously? I love Proverbs 31. I’m quietly spiritual- my faith is purely what I’ve sought out for myself and find truth in.  So I stumbled across Proverbs 31 about a month ago- and have thought of it more than a few times in this nightmare break-up I’m currently drowning in.

28. Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:

29. “Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all.”

All any of us ever want is to be appreciated.

sigh.

Fingers crossed.
